What It Means to Work & Win With Great Care
There's a woman I passed in the park once — walking in the dark before sunrise. I asked her how she was feeling.
She said: I'm working and I'm winning.
She didn't have a job. But she had something more important — a definition of work that no employer could give her or take away.
Somewhere along the way, most of us were taught that work is a place you go. But my great-grandfather never said I'm going to work. He said let's get to work. One word changed everything — and that change cost generations of people their sense of identity, value, and power.
This week I'm writing about that shift. Where it came from, what it costs us, and how to reclaim the truth about who you are and what you carry.
The full reflection — including 5 deep prompts — is inside the Inner Circle this week.
